A Material Reverence

Why we choose leather, ceramic, and brushed gold for every piece.

A Material Reverence

Material is meaning. Before a piece carries a name, it carries a substance — and that substance decides whether the piece will be treasured or discarded.

We choose leather that softens with use, ceramic that holds a quiet weight, and brushed gold that catches light without shouting. Each is chosen for how it ages, not only for how it looks on the first day.

There is a reverence in this approach. To select a material for its second decade is to believe the object will have one. It is to design against the throwaway, and toward the inherited.

This is why our pieces feel different in the hand. They were chosen by someone who imagined you holding them, years from now, and still wanting to.
